Inventory Management

Inventory management is the supervision of non-capitalized assets or inventory and stock items. Inventory management is used to upload and manage inventory units, including options association, price updates and to mark listing availability for each unit.

  1. First of all user has to select a dealer from Dealer drop down list to view and upload inventory for selected dealer. The drop down list is populated with all enabled dealers defined under dealer management.

  2. Ellipsis button is available on top right corner of inventory management screen with following 2 options i.e. download template and upload file.

  3. Download template option is used to download excel template. This template is used for bulk addition or update of the dealer's inventory.

  4. User can upload the template using the option available in ellipsis button. System validates the format defined in the downloaded template. System confirms from the user before uploading the updated records and also shows a preview of the records with errors. User can remove the errors and upload the complete file again. No duplication check is performed in this case. Records successfully uploaded through the file overwrite the existing records.

  5. Inventory/asset details on screen include:

  • Year/Make/Model/Trim: refers to the respective information of asset.
  • Stock Number: stock number assigned to the respective asset.
  • VIN: vehicle identification number.
  • Listing Status: denotes whether respective inventory item is listed or not?
  • Status: status tells us about availability of asset i.e. either asset is available or not.
  • Asset Condition: asset condition can be excellent, average, poor, new, used etc.
  • Options: states dealer options available with asset.
  • Mileage: Mileage of vehicle.
  • MSRP: manufacturer’s suggested retail price.
  • Selling Price: amount of selling price for respective inventory item.
  • Daily Update: Daily update tells whether daily update is enabled or disabled for respective inventory record.
